v. (动词)
  1. assure是及物动词,可接名词或代词(不可接that从句)作简单宾语。
  2. assure可接双宾语,这时表物的宾语须由介词of引出; 表人的宾语如置于表物的宾语后,则须由介词to(而非for)引出,如置于表物的宾语之前,则不必搭配介词。
  3. assure后接表物的宾语时,可由that从句或动词不定式充当。
  1. assure指“使……确信”,不是指“确信”,因此,在使用时要注意在前面加上助动词。

    I am assured of his honesty.
    我确信他很诚实。

    I am assured that he is honest.
    不可以直接说I assure his honesty。

  2. 涉及到“保险”时,我们习惯用insure,而不是assure,如insure her car。不过assure也有指“保险”的意思,如assure her life指“为她保人寿险”;
  3. 在指“确保”时,ensure的用法比assure更加普遍。
