- besides用作副词的意思是“而且,还有”,引出另一个情况,以作补充。可用于句首、句尾，也可用于句中，常常用逗号或分号与句子的其他成分隔开。
- besides用作介词的意思是“除…之外”,用在肯定句中指更进一步的拥有,即包括besides后所列的内容在内; 用在否定句或疑问句中则指只有besides所包括的内容，即“除…之外(不或没有)”。
- besides后除可接名词外,还可接动名词,在动词do后还可接不带to的动词不定式。
