  2. broad可引申为“(胸怀)宽广”“能容纳别人的意见”,常用于较抽象的名词前。
  3. broad作“大概的,不详细的”解时,作定语形容词,指对计划、建议等在提纲上有个大概的了解,而并非了解其细节。
  4. broad可与表示量度的名词连用构成形容词短语,表示“…(量度)宽的”,这个形容词短语要置于所修饰的名词之后,而在形容词短语中broad又要置于表示量度的名词之后。
