  1. culminate的基本意思是“达到极点”,指人在事业、友情、努力等方面达到了顶峰,也可用于指冲突全面展开或是达到某物的最高点等。
  2. culminate既可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词,用作及物动词时,接名词或代词作宾语,常用于被动结构。用作不及物动词时,常与介词in连用,表示“以…告终”。
