用法讲解

v. (动词)
  1. forget的基本含义是“忘,忘记”,指由于记忆上的忽略而对某人或某物失去了印象,这种“忘记”可能只是暂时的,也可能是长久的。forget还可表示“疏忽,忽略”。
  2. forget可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,后接名词或代词作宾语,也可接动名词、动词不定式或含有疑问词的动词不定式作宾语,还可接由that或疑问词引导的从句作宾语。可用于被动结构。
  3. forget接动名词时意为“做了某事而把它忘记了”; 接动词不定式用于过去时或完成时时意为“要做而忘记做”; 用于将来时或祈使句时通常用否定式,表示“不要忘记做某事”。
  4. forget的主语是单数第一人称时,用一般现在时,强调暂时仍处于想不起来的状态; 用现在完成时,强调遗忘的彻底性; 用过去时,强调曾经遗忘,而现在又想起来了; 用过去完成时,强调在过去某一时刻遗忘,但后来又想起来了。
  5. forget是状态动词,不用于现在完成进行时,而用于现在完成时。
  6. forget的过去式为forgot,而其过去分词则有两种形式,即forgot和forgotten,在英式英语中常用前者,而在美式英语中二者均可。
