adj. (形容词)
  1. impossible的基本意思是“不可能的,办不到的”,修饰人时意为“难对付的”。
  2. impossible作表语时常用于以it作形式主语的结构中,用作主语的动词不定式要用主动式。
  3. impossible在句中一般作定语或表语,作表语时,其后接介词短语,也可接动词不定式,这时句子主语不是动词不定式的逻辑主语,是其逻辑宾语。
  4. impossible作表语作“不可能的,办不到的”解时不能以人作主语。作“难以忍受的,很难对付的”解时可以人作主语。
  5. impossible所跟的由that引导的主语从句中谓语动词要用虚拟式,即用动词原形或“should+动词原形”。
  6. impossible是表示否定的形容词,如再用否定词修饰,则表示肯定意义。
