  1. somewhere的基本意思是“在〔往〕任何地方,在〔往〕什么地方”,还可作“大约”解。
  2. somewhere常用于肯定句中, anywhere常用于否定句和疑问句中。在疑问句中,可以用somewhere或anywhere,如果期望对方回答“是”,就用somewhere,如果不知道对方会回答“是”还是“不是”,用somewhere, anywhere都可以。
  3. somewhere可修饰动态动词,多位于其后,也可用作表语,在口语中,可修饰形容词。
  4. somewhere无比较级和最高级。

  • 这两个副词的含义接近,但用法不同。其区别是：
  • 1.somewhere只能用于肯定结构, anywhere一般用于疑问句或否定句,偶尔也可用于肯定句。例如:
  • I went somewhere in the neighbourhood.
  • 我在附近走了走。
  • Did you go anywhere in the neighbourhood.
  • 你到附近什么地方去过吗?
  • I didn't go anywhere in the neighbourhood.
  • 我没有到附近什么地方去过。
  • 2.由这两个词构成的短语也有这样的区别:如get somewhere表示“略有进展”,用于肯定句; 而anywhere则用于否定句和疑问句, not get anywhere表示“没有进展”。例如:
  • Now, at last we know the murder weapon; now we're getting somewhere.现在我们终于知道谋杀的武器,总算有点进展。
  • You'll never get anywhere with that attitude.你持那种态度将毫无进展。
  • 3.anywhere用于肯定句时,与somewhere在意思上有所区别,不能互换。例如:
  • I lost my key somewhere near here.我的钥匙是在这附近丢的。
  • 本句的意思是在附近某一处地方丢的,但说不出准确的位置,如换成anywhere则表示“随便什么地方”,这显然在逻辑上不通,故不能换用。
