  1. trifle的基本意思是“轻视,玩弄”,指某人不严肃地、不诚恳地、不专心地、漫无目的地对待某人或某事,也指恋爱上水性杨花。用作不及物动词,后常接with。
  2. trifle还可作“浪费,虚度”解,一般指在某件事上浪费时间、金钱、精力等,可用作不及物动词,也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时,接名词或代词作宾语。
