用法讲解

v. (动词)
  1. lend的基本意思是“借出”,引申也可表示“提供”“帮助”“增添”等。可用作及物动词或不及物动词,用作及物动词时,可接名词或代词作宾语,也可接双宾语,其间接宾语可转化为介词to的宾语。
  2. lend后可接反身代词,再接介词to,反身代词指人时,表示“欣然同意做某事或参与、合谋做某事”;反身代词指物时,表示“适合某种用途、活动等”。
  3. lend可用于被动结构。

  • 1.borrow是“借进”,表示“向某人借”,跟from〔of〕连用。lend是“借出”,表示“借给某人”,跟to连用。例如:
  • I borrowed a pound from〔of〕 my brother.
  • 我从哥哥那儿借了一英镑。
  • My brother lent a pound to me. 〔My brother lent me a pound.〕
  • 我哥哥借给我一英镑。
  • Some people neither borrow nor lend.
  • 有些人不向别人借,也不借给别人。
  • 2.lend后面可以接双宾语,而 borrow 不能。

  • lend 是最普通的用语, loan 指“贷与”“借与”,是财会上的正式用语,一般不用于私人关系的借贷,但在美式英语中, loan 和lend两个词通用;lease一般指出租房屋、土地等不动产。
