或“prefer...rather than”结构,相当于like better 或place before the others,因此不能用more或most来修饰它。
I prefer this to that.
我喜欢这个,而不喜欢那个。 - prefer...to...和prefer...rather than...的区别,以句子I prefer going to staying和I prefer to go rather than to stay为例:第一句里的to是介词,后面接动名词,不接不定式。第二句里的rather不可省略,一般prefer后接不定式,但可将rather than to stay替换成to staying,不过因格式上不对称不常用;
-
I prefer to go this evening.
As a rule I prefer going in the evening.
-
Her parents prefer her to study Russian and English.
We prefer that each new student should take this course.
-
I prefer my milk a little sweetened.
-
它同prefer A to B的句型一样,后也常与介词to连用.
The first choice is preferable to the second.
- prefer to-v, prefer v-ing
-
- prefer, like
-
- 2.like可与(the) most〔best〕连用,而prefer不可。
- I like the white and black ones. Which do you prefer?
- I like the white, the black, and the red equally. Which do you like best?
- 4.可以说I prefer it so.,也可以说I so prefer it.,但不可以说I so like it.,而只能说I like it so.。
- prefer, offer, present, proffer, tender
-
- The teacher offered a few ideas to improve the plan.
- She offered to help me to learn English.
- Many people proffered blood and skin for the badly burnt worker.
- She tendered him her resignation.
- The police preferred a charge against the motorist.
- Will the police prefer charges against the boys or just give them a warning?
-
- I prefer not to go.
- I don't prefer to go.
- choose,select,elect,pick,prefer,opt
-
- like,love,enjoy,fancy,adore,prefer
-
