- sort的基本意思是指按照某人〔物〕的特征和属性进行分类、分级,使其更加整齐与完整。
- sort可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,接名词或代词作宾语; 用作不及物动词时,常与副词out连用表示“整理”“解决”,有筛选的意味。
- sort用作名词时可作“种类,类别”解,指有相似性质或特征的事物所形成的种类,常接介词 of。sort of后的可数名词多为单数形式,有时也可为复数形式,当sort of sb/sth 用作主语时,谓语动词的数随sb/sth 而变化。
- sort也可作“某一类人”解,一般用作单数。
