  1. stand的基本意思是指两足直立站着不动,即“站立”,可以表示从坐着或躺着的状态到站起来的动作,也可以表示一种“站立”的状态。引申还可表示“在某处,位于”“维持现状”“高度为…”“看情形很可能做某事”“不流动”“自己向某人提供某物”“任候选人”“容忍,忍受”等。
  2. stand可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,后可接名词、代词、动词不定式或动名词作宾语; stand作“请客”解时还可以接双宾语,其间接宾语可转化成介词for的宾语; 作“站着”解时可接现在分词作状语,表示伴随状态; 作“坚持”“取某种态度”解时可接动词不定式作结果状语。
