prep. (介词)
  1. under表示静止的空间位置时,意思是“在…的正下方”“在…的下面”; 也可指在某物的脚边或底下,即“在…底下”“在…脚下”; 还可指在人身体某部位之下; 有时还可引申表示“在…遮蔽〔保护〕之下”。
  2. under表示状态作“被…遮盖”“(在职位、权势等方面)低于或隶属于”“经受着”解。
  3. under表示方式指身份和行为的假托,作“凭借”解; 表示环境作“在…情况下”解; 表示法规、条例的依据作“根据,按照”解。
  4. under还可表示“骑马,乘船”。还可表示类属,作“属于…”“归于…之下”解。
  5. under还可以表示所处的状况、条件或在进行的过程中,意思是“在…(状态)中”“在…(情况)下”。
  6. under还可以表示数量,价格,年龄等,意思是“不足…”“不到…”“…以下”。under也可表示时间,意思是“在…(较短的)时间内”。
