bring about, bring to pass
  • bring about是“带来”(指客观上带来的后果,相当于lead to), bring to pass是“使发生”(通过主观努力促使事物发生变化,相当于make to happen)。例如:
  • After strenuous talks, a cease-fire agreement was brought to pass, and in return it brought about 10 years of peaceful co-existence between the two countries.
  • bring forth, bring forward
  • bring sb to one's home, bring oneself home, bring home to sb
  • bring oneself to, bring...to oneself
  • 2.bring oneself to中的to是不定式符号; 而bring...to oneself中的to是介词。
  • 3.bring oneself to中的oneself与主语一致; 而bring...to oneself中的oneself则与bring的宾语一致。
  • 4.bring oneself to多用于疑问句,而bring...to oneself多用于肯定句。
  • bring...to a halt, come to a halt
  • 1.bring...to a halt是及物动词短语,而come to a halt是不及物动词短语。
  • 2.bring...to a halt是外界原因使某事停下来,停下来的是bring的宾语; 而come to a halt是自身原因停下来,停下来的是句子的主语。例如:
  • He brought the car to a halt.
  • The car came to a halt.
  • bring in, import
  • bring up, educate
  • Would you rather be well brought up and badly educated, or opposite?
  • bring up, grow up, raise, rear
  • The mother reared her children wisely.
  • We reared our children to help others.
  • She likes rearing birds.
  • He used to rear pigs.
  • The woman brought up four children alone .
  • He was brought up to believe that money is the most important thing in life.
  • This bush has grown up a lot in the last few months.
  • Jane is growing up so fast,I think she's going to be a tall woman.
  • Stop acting like a child with your bad temper! Do grow up.
  • bring, carry, fetch, get, take
  • When you go home take the letter with you.
  • The mother carries her baby in her arms.
  • bring,carry,take,fetch,get,convey,transport
