  1. curiosity的基本意思是“好奇心”,指的是个体遇到新奇事物或处在新的外界条件下所产生的注意、操作、提问的心理倾向,如渴望知道事情为何已经发生或正在发生,但不一定具有冒昧、鲁莽等令人不快的性质。curiosity作此解时是不可数名词,但有时可用不定冠词a修饰。
  2. curiosity引申可指“珍品;古董;奇异的物或事”,这时是可数名词。
