  1. form指某事物的具体组成结构、形式、体制,强调物体存在的形式,或整个实体的特殊形状,包括外部和内部的形状及结构,常给人以立体感。
  2. form表示“形式”“形状”时,可用作可数名词或不可数名词。表示“表格”,是可数名词。作“情绪”“状态”解时,是不可数名词。
  3. form还可指诗、文、曲的体裁、格式。
v. (动词)
  1. form的基本意思是使事物以明确的轮廓、设计或结构而存在,即“形成、构成、组成、养成”。可用于具体事物,也可用于如政府、球队等组织,还可以用于如思想、体系等抽象事物。
  2. form可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,接名词或代词作宾语,可用于被动结构; 用作不及物动词时,表示“形成”,用物作主语。主动形式常含有被动意义。
  3. form的宾语后接into时,表示“使…变成…形状”, form的宾语后接from或of时,表示“用…构成”。
