- public用作形容词时,基本意思是“公众的”,指存在或出现在众人面前的,引申还可表示“公共的”“公用的”,往往指由中央或地方政府提供的为全社会服务的,在句中常用作定语,有时也可用作表语。
- public还可作“公开的”“当众的”解,指向众人公开或某事物众所周知。在句中常用作表语。
- public无比较级和最高级。
