v. (动词)
  1. endure的基本意思是“容忍,忍耐”,主要指对重大灾祸和困难长时间地忍受,常强调默默地、无怨言地忍受,但不屈服,作此解时,常与cannot等否定词连用,是比较委婉与正式的用法,接名词或代词作宾语,也可以跟动词不定式、动名词或that从句作宾语。
  2. endure用作不及物动词时,含有困难但仍要坚持下去的意思。
