- compel的基本意思是“迫使,使不得不…”,常指利用权力、力量等迫使某人做不想做的事情或采取某种行动,有时也有别无办法的含义。
- compel的主语通常是法律、行为及一组条件等,也可以是人; compel的宾语一般是人,有时虽不是人,但也是与人或人的行为有关的事物。
