  1. conceive的基本意思是在头脑中形成一个想法、看法、设计等,含有由于头脑不断思考而使想法、看法和设计不断发展之意。
  2. conceive作“设想”解时,是及物动词,可接名词、代词和名词从句作宾语,也可接以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语,常与can及其否定式连用,可用于被动结构。作此意解时,也可用作不及物动词,接of引出的短语表示“设想”的内容。
  3. conceive作“怀孕”解时,可用作不及物动词,也可用作及物动词。
