  2. conceive作“设想”解时,是及物动词,可接名词、代词和名词从句作宾语,也可接以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语,常与can及其否定式连用,可用于被动结构。作此意解时,也可用作不及物动词,接of引出的短语表示“设想”的内容。
  3. conceive作“怀孕”解时,可用作不及物动词,也可用作及物动词。
